Ryan and i spent last week in Avila Beach. it was our annual “girl trip” with some girls from my mom’s family. we shared an apartment with my mom, aunt, cousins and grandma, and there was an apartment of cousins, aunts and great-aunts next door. it was so fun to watch Ryan play with his cousins. it seemed like he loved having other little people around.
this is how Ryan welcomed our cousin Matteo to the beach. Matteo wanted nothing to do with Ryan, then Ryan tackled him, and then they were friends. :)
then it was Giuliana’s turn. i guess he thinks this is normal?

on Friday morning, we took Ryan to the little aquarium in Avila. he had lots of fun pointing out the “fishies” and “stars.”
then Friday afternoon, it was time for farmer’s market. (well, we actually just got a table at the Custom House, and sat outside eating and people-watching for 4 hours.)
we stopped for ice cream on our walk back up to the apartment. yum!
