cousins Giuliana, Eva, and Matteo were in town for a few days, so we spent some time with them. on Saturday, i took Ryan over to my Gramma Sally’s (or Zoie’s, as Ryan calls her) to dye eggs. i wasn’t sure how interested he’d be, but he was actually pretty into it.
the Easter Bunny left Ryan (and Blake, but he had no idea what was going on) a little basket of goodies. his favorite thing was definitely the jelly beans.
the boys wore matching outfits on Easter. i can’t help myself. i’m determined to get a decent picture of the two of them together someday. it seems to be pretty impossible so far.
we took a quick trip out to the ranch to show our cousins the tractors. Uncle/Grampa Jon took Matteo and Ryan for a drive first. (Giuliana and Eva got to drive the tractor, too. but i don’t have pictures of that.)
on Monday, we took the kids to the movies to see the Lorax. i did what had the potential to be very stupid, and took Blake with me, but it ended up working out great. he slept the entire time. Ryan had never been to the movies before. he absolutely loved it! i only watched about half of the movie because it was so much fun to watch Ryan. he would dance and clap any time there was music, and yell “again!” when the songs ended. i would definitely take him to the movies again.
after the movies, we drove up to Avila. the kids played in the sand for awhile...
... then we got dinner at the Custom House...
... and got an ice cream at the Hula Hut.
Ryan had so much fun with our cousins! i can’t wait for him and Blake to get to spend a week with them at the beach this summer.
